SAND

David Ward began writing his first full-length play; a tense and touching psychological drama and a reimagining of the Greek-tragedy, dealing with the lengths that humans will go to in order to survive, to be accepted and to find a place to call home. Courthouse Arts are very proud to present Sand, a striking and unforgettable new work from an exciting new artist, and to be part of an initiative to support the growth and development of young and emerging artists. David has been involved with Courthouse Arts for two years. After appearing in and winning the Geelong heats of Fast & Fresh in 2008, David went on win the Best Actor award at Fast & Fresh Melbourne later that year with his 10-minute monologue Jekyll & Hyde. He has since appeared in the Short Circuit Theatre series and Master and Servant with Courthouse Arts and West Side Story for Footlight Productions.
