The members at Courthouse ARTS can’t get enough of spoken word.

As part of a month of Spoken Word events, Courthouse ARTS are proud to present Words And Music – a massive evening of noise making and story-telling.

Headlining the night will be Adelaide poet Geoff Goodfellow; who has travelled the world spouting spoken word with the best. His most recent book; Waltzing with Jack Dancer: A Slow Dance With Cancer is a narrative on his survival from throat cancer

Also appearing on the night will be Courthouse ARTS friends and members; Izzy Losi, Amanda Johnson, Casey Scott, Boof Neilson and prolific noise maker Sam Cowan.

Artistic Director Ross Mueller is delighted that the spoken word scene is evolving and growing at Courthouse ARTS “It really is heartening to see that words really mean something! Maybe it’s because we Twitter and text, maybe it’s because we face book and email, but we all work with words every day now. Words and Music will be a celebration of our index fingers on the keyboard and the yearning for meaning in our lives!” Mr Mueller says.

Tickets to the event are just $10 for Courthouse ARTS members, $15 for under 26 and $20 general admission.
