The Short Gorilla Team (Stephen Oakes, Izzy Losi and Mitch Cunningham)

INTO THE WILD with the Short Gorilla Team

Making a film – even a short film – utilises all kinds of skills. What’s the quickest way to make your idea a reality? How do you plan ahead? What are the different ways to think about film? From writing, to shooting, to working with a team of artists, a small film can become a big project, and fast.

That’s why the team behind the Short Gorilla Film Festival invites you to a day of workshops, on Saturday the 17th of December, 10:30am, at Courthouse ARTS. Entry is free to members, and workshops will run until 2:30pm.

Above all, the workshops aim to be informal and informative – bring your ideas, unfinished scripts or footage, or just yourself, and we’ll see what we can cook up! Contact the team at shortgorilla@courthouse.org.au to sign up, or with any questions.

Writing for the Screen: Styles and Contexts with Mitch Cunningham

Shooting Digital: Tips, Tricks and Techniques with Stephen Oakes

Filmmaker Stephen Oakes has some digital cameras, and decades of experience with film and editing technology. Either way, you’ll walk away with a tonne of tips and tricks!
